What is Action on the Ground?
Action on the Ground is an Australian Government program that assists farmers and land managers in undertaking on-farm trials of abatement technologies, practices and management strategies to measure and demonstrate a reduction in agricultural greenhouse gas emissions or increase sequestration of carbon in soils while maintaining or improving farm productivity.
There are 88 Action on the Ground projects throughout Australia. These projects are trialing a diverse range of on-farm practices and management strategies. More than 530 individual farm sites are involved in the program.
