Creating Networks to Promote Change

DAFF1060_0813_RLF_logo_copy.jpgThe Regional Landcare Facilitator (RLF) project is an Australian Government funded, National Landcare Porgram initiative that assists in establishing adaptable, self-reliant and appropriately informed networks of community Landcare, Coastcare and production groups across the BMRG region.

Providing assistance in accessing funding, developing partnerships and creating land management training programs, the RLF program aims to enhance the adoption of best practice, sustainable land management actions that maintain and enhance the regions capacity to produce food and fibre whilst delivering outcomes that focus on ecosystem services such as clean air and water, healthy soils and biodiversity conservation.

The RLF project commits to working closely with those best placed to implement and benefit from land management practice change: individual producers and producer groups, local Landcare and Coastcare groups and community groups with a stake in and a desire for sustainable production and the protection and enhancement of regional biodiversity.

The Spirit of Landcare

The Spirit of Landcare is an initiative of our Regional Landcare Facitlitators. We will be producing several short digital stories highlighting the activities of the hard working Landcare volunteers in our region. The Digital stories are a unique way by which Landcare groups can promote their activities in the region and motivate and enthuse other groups in the region as well.
