Burnett Mary Partnership Showcase
Over the past year the Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) has
partnered with various organizations across the region to carry out close to 400
activities. As we move into a new phase of Natural Resource Management it is fitting
to determine what has been learnt and achieved over the first period of the Australian
Governments Caring for our Country Program
To do this the Burnett Mary Regional Group has invited our partners to showcase the activities
they have undertaken, at a free event to be held on Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th of October at the Kingaroy
RSL Club. This will coincide with the Burnett Mary Natural
Resource Management Awards, to be held on the Wednesday evening. For information
on the Awards click here.
Download the Partnership Showcase Program by clicking below.
The Showcase aims to :-
Increase awareness of what has been done
Discover better ways of doing business
Ensure past learning’s are incorporated into
future delivery
This will also be a tremendous opportunity to learn from the achievements and
experiences of others.
Three projects are to be showcased from each of 7 themes: Intergrated Natural
Resource Management, Biodiversity, Water Quality, Community Engagement, Coastal
& Marine Issues, Sustainable Use, and Weed & Pest Management.
Each of 3 projects within a theme will have 20 minutes to showcase its activities
and address the following questions:-
What was the aim?
What was achieved?
Were there any unexpected outcomes?
Lessons learnt along the way?
Gaps identified?
What tasks remain?
Organisation's presenting at the forum will also be displaying information relating
to the activities they have undertaken.
There will also be information displays from other organisations relating to
Natural Resource Management.
