Carl Moller - Communication Officer
After studying environmental science, I actually ended up starting a career in
employment, first running labour maket programmes and then a recruitment agency
(6 years). I left this industry to have a 6 month holiday, then worked for a
politician in an electorate office for 5 years. After this politican retired,
I took the chance to have another holiday (10 months) before starting with BMRG.
My job here at present is to help with communications, for example assisting the
Chairman with contact with politicians and helping to promote BMRG more widely
through newsletters and with special projects, such as the biosphere application.
I was born in Bundaberg and only left for a few years to study in Brisbane.
My parents had a little farm, and I still have a very strong love of our local
wildlife. Over the years, I have been actively involved in landcare, widlife
and catchment groups in Bundaberg, but these days, I prefer to enjoy the bush
for myself, rather than trying to save it.
