Horticulture in the Burnett Mary region is well known for it's fresh produce
and is estimated to inject more than 1 billion dollars per year into the Queensland
economy. The industry has been very proactive in it's support for Reef Rescue with a number of growers already completing projects that capture water run-off
or improve the quality of water that escapes from the farm and enters waterways
leading into the Great Barrier Reef lagoon.
