What’s on in the region?

29 June  Film screening “The End of the Line” Moncrieff theatre, Bundaberg, 7pm . Imagine a world without fish. Imagine your meals without seafood. Imagine the global consequences. The End of the Line is the first major feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on our oceans.  In the film we see firsthand the effects of our global love affair with fish as food. Tickets $10 with all proceeds to local marine projects. 

13 July  Reef Rescue Farm tour, Bundaberg. Thinking about applying for Reef Rescue funding? Here’s your opportunity to see first hand the type of on-farm projects which have been approved for funding. Growcom invites you to join us on a hosted tour of properties currently implementing farm system improvements through the Federal Government’s Reef Rescue incentive program (horticulture). This is your chance to see the improvements you could make to your farm practices and to talk to farmers about the benefits of their projects. 16th July Mundubbera.  Peter Andrews Workshop.  Peter is Founder of Natural Sequence Farming and author of “Beyond the Brink”.   The workshop will consist of a half day seminar followed by an in the field demonstration.  Cost: $50/person (includes smoko’s and lunch).  Registrations close Tuesday 13th July.
