Sponsorship Available from BMRG to Attend ‘Waves of Change
‘What are the real implications for Queensland’s coastal environments? How do those involved in coastal planning and management proactively address
these changing elements and mitigate potential impacts? How do we know our management practices are the most effective solution to identified
problems and who do we turn to for guidance and information? All of these issues and more will be discussed at the Queensland Coastal Conference
2009.’
Conference plenary and concurrent sessions will focus on the following themes:
Planning, Policy and Politics
Coast and Marine Assets
Relationships – People and Communities
In Action not Inaction
Members of BMRG are eligible to take advantage of the opportunity to receive
sponsorship from BMRG of up to $300 towards registration and conference expenses
in order to attend the 2009 Qld Coastal Conference.
Organization and individuals are encouraged to submit a Professional Development
Sponsorship application form which can be found under ‘Funding Opportunities’
on the BMRG website, www.bmrg.org.au The funding allocation is competitive and will be given to those who can demonstrate
the greatest value in attending the conference. With funding for this event being limited, BMRG will accept one (1) application
per organization. To facilitate this process, you should include a letter from your organization
to confirm support for your nomination to attend.
